Is there a mistake in the clue for 16d?

Weed let into temple accidentally (9)

One letter is omitted from the wordplay and that is not entered into the grid so I was thinking of (H)EMP-NETTLE - an anagram of LET and TEMPLE with H omitted, except that it should be NET and TEMPLE for it to work.

Hi orson, Chambers gives net under let (tennis).

BRB defines "net" as "a let (tennis)"

12a Cost nothing to cook bread in Brazil ?OTOS... possibly cotos? ..anagram of cost o ....but can't see the defn bread of brazil ? money of brazil?

2d - your A is wrong, Bunty. Word for small island with S changed to L and R missing.

12a - money, yes. Anagram of COST O with N missing.

I've more or less given up on this one. I've got the message, etc, but some answers in the SW corner are very elusive.

Eg, 33a - Amble back round old green plan (5) ?CI??

orson - 33ac is a 4 letter word for 'amble' reversed around O - 'green' in the socially progressive sense (M is dropped).

Think my A is wrong in 2d ...so i obviously have 1a wrong.

33a. the third letter isn't "i", check the spelling of the crossing 27d.

...and 'step back' would be more helpful than 'amble'.
