Fun from Paul - but I am missing two letters (usually "on" or "about") from parsing 15,25 - which brings back memories ...

First and last 2 letters = a control

Solved this in record time for a prize (and quicker than some Guardian Mondays and even Quiptics). Good range of clues, but surely far too easy?

Congratulations rogissimo. I am struggling. SW done though only crossers got me 23a and I didn't get the answer to 15/25 for ages even though I understood the light.

I think my brain must be totally out of gear. I started well, but then came to complete halt.

Can anyone give me a hint for 15,25. I feel there must be an anagram, but cannot find it.

Hints for 23ac and 6d may help. I was convinced 6d would be a disease, but can't find one to fit my crossers. SW corner is completely blank. Help!!!

Blair not is the anagram inside a word that means control. This gives you a low powered vehicle.

23AC. Footwear.

6D. Another word for infection around a Latin number, relates to speech.
