University dons strike back in attacks (5) I have M?U?? Any tip appreciated. It's buried among unclued items that are really not my area!

Lumen, I got this by getting a word meaning 'attacks' (verb) with those letters! I then worked backwards. There's the usual 'university' and a four-letter 'strike' (verb) is reversed.
