Can't believe I didn't see cell phone though it's the US for mobile, isn't it?

'hone' means to sharpen. What about the rest of it? Can't see how it parses. Please could someone explain. Thank you very much.

Brad, a Cell is a Cadre, a group of people in an organisation, then add P for pressure (and Hone, sharpen up comes next 'after pressure'.)
