This is a well meant question...

I've so enjoyed this thread over the few months that I've been engaged with it.

I do wonder though, in my innocence , about structural detail that I may have missed by being new?

Like who is who in the hierarchy of Goddesses and Gods on this site?

My guess is this (and I hope I'm not going to lose a lot of friends by saying so...)

Norah is the great Turtle, right?

Malone is chief deity underneath the great turtle? All fall down to her and happy to do so

Next level of archangels - ChrisE, Mattrom, Rossim, Elle - and I've probably missed a few who should be in this level - higher angels please correct me.

Then a great roiling mass of lower angels like myself who enjoy greatly
the fun who compete without great expectation but with great engagement.

So, is there a hierarchy in this thread - or is it deliciously nebulous?

Ash is the owner of the site, Norah was the moderator although she was leaving a few months ago, the rest of us have all been created equal!

KT17, an interesting post … though I found your title rather daunting!

The Forum users are all simply that, users of the Forum. Any hierarchical structure would have me running for the hills … or to another forum, website, whatever.

Norah, of course, IS an official, as she's the administrator of the Forum itself. She runs it very well, so well that most of the time we're barely aware of her existence. The spammers make her life difficult at times - we've had spells where the spam kept flooding in and the site was barely accessible. It was during one of those spells that I stuck my oar in - well, stuck my publication in, to be precise. My 'Malone Times' - where I made up some clues - was started to bump the spam posts further down the page, and also to distract us all from dodgy credit cards, fake IDs, shoddy kitchens, spam of all kinds.


There are, of course, many Forum regulars, some of whom you've mentioned. As you'd expect, there's a wide range of attributes, attitudes and contributions to the Forum. I quite like the way that a simple crossword query can lead us to a totally different discussion - and sometimes we don't even need the crossword query to spark off a topic!

KT17, Ash is the owner of the site, and Norah (as many of you will know, also Ash's mother) is the Forum administrator in "daily charge" of us all.
She very kindly runs a tight ship, looking out for our welfare and our security at all times.
We are all very beholden to her for her friendly and fair administration.
There are no "moderators " on this site (as there are on some others) as Ash and Norah (and most of us users) do not consider this necessary.
The rest of us are all equal!

Just to say, Paul, I would be interested to know where you got the information that I was leaving a few months ago.

I am not leaving, I never have been, and will continue to monitor the Forum until Ash decrees otherwise.

Thank you all for your replies - I must say I'm a little fascinated by this site and the contributors that make it what it is.

There is a Bletchley-ness about this site and about you all.

I enjoy the intrigue and the not knowing.

I rather like not knowing if a poster is even a man or a woman.

It is as spicy as a masked Venetian ball!
