I have two clues/answers which I am unable to parse as neither word is in my dictionary. I am more interested in the parsing of the clue rather than the correct answer. Many thanks...
A) Places wherein debates are read out in Old English (7) E*E*R*E.
The only word I can think of is "EXEDRAE" .
B) Season the French gin (8) S*R*N*L*.
Springle? Spring(season) + le (French the). SpringAL is in my dictionary but not springle. Is springle a type of gin?

Old = "ex"
Out/Anagram of "read"
English is "E"
