Thought kt's Monteverdi Vespers a nice touch, and liked dorrien's sardine heads but don't think that "does" should be shared as part of the definition (with a following adverb beginning with D it would have had my vote).

paul: After cluing it I actually checked to see whether it's in Chambers (it is), and nemo, kt, penda, and spike clued it too!

I confess I was stumped by 'rich man' so I checked in Bradford's under 'rich(es)' and 'Dives' was listed - a bit of googling and the penny dropped so voting for aristophanes' #8
