Has anyone parsed 12a Blackadder?

A lot of googlng suggests Black in a snooker break adds 7 points to the score. I know next to nothing about snooker !

I could see break as a part anagram but couldn't get any further.
I hate loose ends!

I have watched a bit of snooker in the past.

I remember the 1985 World championship final when Dennis Taylor beat Steve Davis 18 17............ and it was all down to the last black!

I remember that too Rossim - it went on past midnight and had a viewing figure in excess of 20 million! It was so tense and exciting.

I don't find snooker very exciting these days. I'm inclined to fall asleep!
However, I do watch occasionally if Ronnie O'Sullivan's playing.

I haven't watched it for years, a bit too slow for my liking.

Usually I can finish the i crosswords. Today I got three answers. It was interesting to read the comments on here and to see what the theme was. However I am confirmed in casting this one aside as being aimed at Inquisitor solvers rather than the likes of me.
