I should have explained more. The librarian of the Unseen University in Ankh-Morpork on Discworld is a orang-utan. I can't remember if he was called Clyde, though!

Hi Chris, on closer inspection I think the fact that there's an Orang-Utan called Clyde in the Clint Eastwood films is just a coincidence. I wasn't aware of the Terry Pratchett Discworld Clyde but that fits in with the 'Unseen librarian' so must be the right one.
