Bit stuck on this one - help!
35d: Uniform that's donned without ties is taboo (3,2,6)
Looks like out of bounds, but cannot parse. Possibly got some letters wrong.

Without ties = OUT OF BONDS which goes around/donned by U(niform)

Vagrant originally staying in digs.
I am supposing that the answer is "rootless" but can't parse it.

"rootles" is a dialect word for "digs"
e.g. the pigs were rootling around
