Help me to solve the two clues below
1) Full of nerves and arteries which are clearly visible? (6) ???O??
2) Caused to feel a painful sense of guilt or degradation (6) ??A?E?

The last letter of the first clue is the first letter of second clue.

2 ABASED

1. Areola ?....bit of a longshot though

Thank you both. I was contemplating between Aerola and Abased Vs Venous and Shamed. I will settle for Aerola and Abased which is more close to the clue.

I also thought of porous for the first one and shamed for the second one...but I cant reconcile any of the answers !
