Lots of long word solutions this week. but I'm left with two 4-lettered
words, and these are 7 Down - "Old coin gaining appreciation in media?" I have O-I-. Is this OBIT?
The other is 50 Down:- "Flyer, a type dominant across the pond" For this I have -A-P. I can only think of "wasp" at the moment.

Many thanks, Kirky and Cerasus. With the OBIT one, I couldn't see where "appreciation" came into the reckoning, although some obits would allude to this, no doubt.
