Many thanks paul. Thought I'd try and get away from the obvious.

wordplay: scoreless draw 0-0; 2 Os (I can't claim originality, I've seen it on more than one occasion in puzzles appearing in national newspapers). + target in (anagrind: off).
Definition: several dictionaries will confirm striker as "a person who strikes" thus, a person who strikes looking for a new contract
Strike as in strike a bargain.

Not too bad here- expecting a high of about 10 F tomorrow. One of my daughters lives in Chicago, where there's a HIGH of -14 F (!) and a low of
-20-something (could possibly break the all-time record, not just for the day, but EVER.
