I am having problems with 53 across . It has 7 letters and the clue is Lush green vegetation. I have ?e?d??e and just can't figure it out. Any help appreciated thanks folks.

Yes, I was correct - I've checked and lush green vegetation is the exact definition.

Thanks very much I have tried to fit verdant in but no way it would work never heard of verdure so would never gave got it .Thanks again.
