I'm stuck on 21ac Husband in key job (5) I've got C?O?? 20d Hose reel's dry (4) I've just got ???E. Any thoughts, anybody? I thought GROOM would be a good answer for 21ac but I'm fairly happy with the C.

21 A four-letter word meaning 'key', centre, essential, with the H, husband, put in - gives you a word meaning Job.
