Thanks yet again syzygy, most enjoyable and pretty straightforward once the first letters of answers were entered. A nice construction (I seem to remember it having been used before) with lots of well written surfaces.

So far I like 13 ac! But am a bit stuck. Could I have hints please- is 15 ac a proper noun? Whatever is 7 dn about?

Yes, 15a is a proper noun. Think Cistercians. And 7d is an anagram; definition's to the east, though I think it should properly be more adjectival. Well, perhaps it's fair...
