After some wrestling I'm stuck on the last six all in the bottom left corner

What, pray, is :

44D - Fancy a fruit Tango opened by servants (7)
F??????

Assistance with this may enable me to crack 4 of the others.

The remaining, annoying, one is :
49A - W C Fields's first turns as comedian (4)
F?O? if FOOL, why?

49 is LOO F backwards (WC Fields first)

44 Figment, fancy (imagination etc). fig = fruit, men = servants +T from the front of Tango (Tango opened).

44d: fig men t

I should have seen the play on WC, but (obviously) didn't. As for 44D I'd got as far as FOOTMEN but wasn't on the right lines at all.
