Any hints for 24 and 15 which are my last two. I enjoy these shorter ones over Christmas, but how does Neville keep thinking up these amazing clues!!!

Unusual word hidden in clue.

This is merely a trial post - I couldn't add my comment to another thread...

Goodness me, Mamya, never heard of that word before, and appologies for not writing in the full clue.
So, 15, ‘These people further down the line produced pigeons’.
I have looked at different ideas including war time lines, but can’t get anything to fit. Can someone push me in the right direction, please.
