A 10 letter word & the only clues are
1st letter is C
3rd letter & 2nd last letter are the same
7th letter & last letter are the same
Only extra clue is that the last letter, is the 1st letter of a 5 letter word ending in C
Having worked right through all words on my Franklin Word Master unsuccessfully, I am thinking maybe the 10 letter word is a Name of someone ! ? !
This is from a Codeword puzzle in which they have only given the ONE letter !

letter pattern by the numbers given is
24--10--26--14--12--9--15--16--26--15
24 is letter C
So Clerkesses== no good as has an extra E
Chenfishes would fit BUT
the 5 letter word which then be S (15)--H (10) ? ? C (24)
Any ideas on this please.
