This one ought to be easy but I can't see it!

Burn gas - gas with unpleasant smell (4)

Hobo, bum/tramp. BO, unpleasant smell HO, gas (of some kind!). I think the clue should have been Bum rather than Burn - but apologies if I'm wrong!

Thanks Malone. I've now looked at the clue with a magnifying glass and the first word is 'Bum', not 'Burn', so your answer is right. However HO doesn't work as a chemical compound so I think the parsing is
gas = H
gas = O
unpleaasant smell = BO.

Thanks, David. I switch off when I see any scientific stuff! I like the Gas Gas in the clue leading to two gases. Glad my answer was correct … though inadequately parsed.
