I have been hanging on to this as i thought i had solved the other clues.
The Worlds Smallest Hardest Crossword on Friday December 28th
It has 4 letters, of which i thought i had the last 3 - ?OHS
The first eludes me, may be a foreign word of course.

I think your S is wrong.

The S was the first letter of the answer to the clue ( ' Subject to' abbr. )
Usually this would be ST? I think.

Soho?

or Yoho?

The same clue was given in 2015 and answered as

SOHO

My old Chambers gives "soho" as "a form of call from a distance, a huntsman's halloo." (Anglo-French)

There was something embedded deep in my brain!

Could "subject to", be "on" ?
