Loup is a dance, Lop can be 'droop', with u, university.

Lob also means to droop and I could not find a dance named loub.

Did not think of lop for droop.

That also give me the Scottish word which means nasty.

Sunray, I worked backwards for that! I'd seen loup, dance, before, and then wondered about lop, droop. We had the usual u, university, so I slung it all together,

Regarding 25d, Blast of air tornado with no hush inside. Can anyone advise the third letter. Is it I or E or Y. Chambers has several spellings. Any ideas appreciated.

I saw this answered with the 'i' - taking the 'st', hush out of 'twister', tornado.
