Just one clue I'm flummoxed by.
I'm sure it must be quite easy, but I can't see it. Just a hint, please.

2d) Leaves a drink (4) A?A?

Just checking that you're confident of the first A, as I'd have an idea if it was C.

The 'leaves', noun, is the definition. The drink wasn't one I was used to, in crosswords, but the word is in Chambers.

Thanks, guys.
I guess it must be ALAE, but I've never heard of a drink called LAE.

It's not in my edition of Chambers.
It doesn't matter, anyway. I don't submit my entry. It was just driving me a bit mad, having one empty cell.

Help with these two:

1. Oliver gets rid of dusty old wines (5) ?AC?S
Dusty is extra.

22. Primitive channel for deviating waste (4) ?RE?
I believe deviating is extra.

I have no idea what 8d (unclued) could be.
I have 6 conflicts and 22a may be the seventh.

Thanks,
