5 letter word (22 across) Clue - Splendid
The 5th letter down of the seven letter word is the 1st letter of the 3 letter word & the last letter is the 1st letter of the 5 letter word.
The crossword is the July issue of "Mature Times"

1st one could be Planner
3rd one could be Regal

no idea about the second one, sorry.

I thought that the Manikin one would be "PIS", like the statue in Brussels.
This would give - - - - P - - for the 7 letters and - - - - - for the 5 letters - which, I can see, is not a great help!
