Thanks marty, and for the mention and the clip, which was very interesting. It seems that if the Peregrine had "stooped" it would be bound to get one starling. Did the mass confuse it? Does it work like gazelles "stotting" to confuse a predator?

I think if the peregrine had stooped it may have caught one starling but would have been unable to avoid hitting others!
