Is 10 BROTHERLINESS? It fits, and Schiller wrote about brothers....

26 Digestible, easy to understand. Lied+Gest, exploit + I + B(elieve) anagrammed.

I wondered if it was something like that, malone, but could you explain the "gest" part, please?

ChrisE, a gest is an exploit, a tale of adventure... it's in Chambers. I knew it anyway, but checked when you asked!

… and there are two, equally valid spellings - Gest and Geste.
