can anyone help with this clue, we have been trying to solve it for a few days now on a betting forum we use to much amusement

the clue is
Lothario mixes drinks on Greek island (5,6)

we think these letters may be in it
_.E._._._ / _._._._._.S


the S at the end comes from the 1st letter of this clue which we think is ships cat
Aquatic Mammal (5,3)

and the E came from this clue
off-spring catches 14 lines = sonn(e)t.

I'd suggest "Rhodes" is the 2nd word... still thinking on the rest of it though

thanks for hlep,, driving me mad, we kept coming up with Cecil Rhodes but no idea how it fits in with clue
