Does anyone out there do the West Midlands puzzles in Mensa mag?
I'm sure there's a mistake in the grid for Nov. 2018 crossword.
4ac (Odysseus was the king of this island to the west of Greece (Ithaca, surely?)
6d. Brother of Zeus and "other half" of Persephone (Hades, surely?)

Trouble is, these are supposed to interlock at 4th letter of Ithaca, and 1st letter of Hades, but they don't. (T and A of Ithaca, D and S of Hades interlock perfectly)
Am I missing something really obvious?

Hades is also known, in particular poetically, as AIDES.

And Odysseus's Ithaca is usually associated with the island Thiaki, which is now called Ithake.

Would the difference in spelling make any difference?

Thanks to both of you. AIDES in place of HADES will solve the problem!
