I have a rather long shortlist of rossim @3, pigale @4, peterm @6, paul @7/37, nemo @11, spike2 @19 and 34, aristo @25, and steve @30.

However just ahead for me is
rossim @36

And another long shortlist: rossim@3, peterm@6, paul@9 and bbm@20's cunning use of Turner. Also in there: spike@19 and rossim@36, both edged out by ...

Like chrise, my shortlist is not too short and not all can get a mention. Lots of great straight anagrams and straight off I liked rossim # 3 but I'm unsure of wearily as an anagrind. spike2 #19 both nice and humourous but my joint runners up are BBM2 #20 & aristo #25 to stevea #30.

Lots of very nice clues but the stand-out one for me is bigbad's post 20, which gets my vote.

Lots of good clues. Spike2 at 19 made me laugh.
However because of his cunning use of Turner my vote goes to
BBM2 @20

Like everyone I liked many, including Paul @ 7 and 9, Spike @19,
Aristo @25 and my runner up Rossim @36, but to me (and a few
others I see!), my favourite is BBM2 @ 20

Liked bigbad @20 (brilliant) and 23, paul @37 (but would have preferred "in" to "at"), and so many others, but going with the megabibulous ginge's neo-baroque fantasy @15.

As with everyone else a very close contest, my favourites included, Peterm 6,Paul 7,Aristo 25, I've gone for
Rossim @ 36

Like several including Spike2 #19, steve #30 and Rossim #36, but vote goes to BBM #20 for his satisfyingly elegant and clever entry.
