It's either MINIDISH or DIMINISH but I really can't decide which!

I would go for MINIDISH as the "come down" (DIMINISH) has the components swapped

Thanks Chrise, that was my instinctive reaction too... but then I guess I lost a bit of confidence when 14 Ac (Poor quality gifts? Not from Santa's place!) which I thought should be GROTTY, turned out to be GROTTO!
