Jiggag, I haven't got Fennec or Unsafe anywhere!

Sorry for the typo in your name Jigjag! The 'of' works fine for me - the shaded area does illustrate a representation of the ...words of the perimeter.

Ensate - Ens= being and Ate = Worried. Ensate, sword-shaped, I don't know anything about Bilbo!

Tenrec - Ten = Net, snare, reversed/put up (it's a Down clue) and Rec = recipe/take (it's in Chambers).

A bilbo is a sword, named after Bilbao in Spain. Nothing to do with hobbits

Rec, recipe, puzzled me too - but I found it in Chambers yesterday (and checked again this afternoon in case I was making it up!).

As a dedicated crossword fan and pie eater, I must congratulate Piccadilly on thematically covering two of my favourite things. I may not know much about art, but I know what I like.
