Am struggling for a few short answers today.

22d - 5 letters - Group of cells differing from surrounding cells. I've got i?l?t

23d - 5 letters - Old Scottish term for devil. I've got ??e?t

23a - 5 letters - Small coastal inlet or creek. I've got ??e?t.

I'm also a bit puzzled re-25a - 6,3 - Disease of apples shown by brown spots. I'm thinking of bitter rot, but if rot is correct, then 16d is wrong - 6,3 - One used for experiment and I've put guinea pig.

Grateful for any help.

22d. Maybe islet - for example, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islet_of_Langerhans">these cells that produce insulin amongst other things.

23a could be fleet.

I'm left with just one to get - the old Scottish word for the devil (5 letters. Tom - I like the look of cloot, but it doesn't seem to fit. I think it's f-e-t.

Any ideas?
