Hi,

I have completd a crossword this morning but need help to understnd the clues - unless I may have gone wrong somewhere.

Removing the lead without energy loosening ropes 9 letters. U???S?I?G

Is that UNLISTING ?list as in listless (lacking energy) but where do ropes come into it?

On reflection it is useful for a motorist 7/6 letters. ??V?T? ??R?O?

Is that PRIVATE MIRROR? the mirror is obvious but why private? I would have thought wing/reversing side mirrors would have been more appropriate.

Grateful for any explanations.

Of course DRIVING MIRROR (which should have been obvious to me) but I had gone wrong on another clue.

Connection made by divorcee in North America. I had TEXAS when in should have been NEXUS which gives me an N in driving and I had a T.
