Take the first O, first love, out of Monroe and replace it with CE (extreme/end letters in capable) - so M ce Nroe,

Having trouble parsing this one:

65A Last month in post, back to work in part of ship (9) - A?T?R?E?K

It has to be AFTERDECK but I don't see it at all.

65a aft = back
erk = aircraftman (post)
dec = last month

I think "post" means "after".
Last month is "Dec" for December,
Back to work, is last letter in wor"k".
Afterdeck looks good.
