could someone please help?

9 A Clear about returning fairly shortly. (6) ???u??

"To" is the definition.

2, nick ?

I think 9a is Result e.g. clear.
Re = about.
Can’t parse the rest!

9 Acquit, clear = Ac = Ca, about +Quit(e).

About is "ca", returning/reversed is "ac"
Fairly shortly is ""quit(e)"
Giving acquit for clear.

Result was obviously wrong!
