This one seems tricky:-
7 Across - "Male employee's first and second note (4)
( I have M-M- )
Also, 18 Down - "A detailed sort of diagram tracks empty
openings". I believe the answer to be VENTS but cannot parse it.

Venn diagram - detailed = cut the end off, so Ven + T (rack)s , empty.

18d: vents = openings 9def)

I should have shown that as Ven (n) - de-tailed!
