Thanks to my eventually realising about the disease at 7across and your remarks, I put my speeling into the computer and it did niot register. I put in the 'extra' h, and it worked.
Donkeys' years ago my father kept hens (in the 30s when things were tight) so I knew about them.
Making slow progress.

Not the easiest word in the world to spell!

I found it a little tricky this week. Had to use the crossword solver and anagram solver a few times. Is that cheating? See you next week

Just a thought - do any of you ever look at the Saga crossword? I think I've only ever answered one clue. Sorry to intrude onto the RT forum but just wondered.

Back again old gal 7a the hair, is an anagram of the last 7 letters, the first 3 letter is another word for sink,the answer is a disease. Apologies for minsleading posting.Karenx

Answering OG's query about Saga's crossword: attempted it this month and got many of the answers, but failed on the theme bit - which left me trying to stuff the achievements into the grid, hoping that would help. Dismal failure. I've decided that it's in orbit somewhere past the outer rings of Grauniad Genius.

Hi, can anyone tell me how to access the Saga crossword? Or do I have to subscribe to the mag?
