Can someone please explain the logic behind 44a - hazarding an explanation of common abbreviation. I am assuming, because of letters i have in, that the answer is risking, but why?

A common abbreviation might be when the letter R stands for a King = 'R-is-king'

r is a common abbreviation of king - thus - r is king
