Assuming that your letters are right, then ABERRANT fits the first half of the clue. I'm not sure why it fits the second half of the clue other than Aberrant is the name of an online role-playing game.

I also am completely stuffed in this corner,and with the same clues,but "aberrant" is not right,
as 16a is EYEBALL therefore 8d is ??E?R?L?

I think 17 down is Seraphim (spirits)

SIM (computer game) around ERAP (scrape, up) and H (casH, at last)

... and the other is MYRIAD - Dairymaids (farm girls) without the aids (equipment) and then reversed

I do like the clues, though
