Yes, I was away earlier, (not USA ) then had internet connection problems on my return .
The phone line still has gremlins :(
Have you been on your travels ?

Yes - en famille to Italy. A few days in the mountains, then a long weekend in Florence - very hot, and much more crowded than I remember from previously (most recently 10 years ago, though).

Florence is still one of the places on my bucket list.
I am pleased that I managed to see most of Europe when I was younger, as many of the places are now overrun and spoilt with people with selfie- sticks .
Everyone has mobile phones, and motor cycles are allowed to drive in the souks!

Florence was full of selfie-sticks. I really don't understand the appeal!
