I`m stuck with the last two clues so am hoping someone can help please.

1d "I had entered high explosive cover" (4)
H ? D ?

The last one is a two word clue and I think the second word is "benefit" The entire clue 11d is "Advantage, having issue of a regular payment "(5,7)
? H ? L ? / B ? N ? F ? T

Could the first word be "Child" but why?

1d HIDE (I'd in HE = high explosive)

11d CHILD BENEFIT

Child = issue
