Finished it but cannot parse 27 a or 20 d. Would appreciate some sleep tonight. Thanks in advance.

Why not post the clues?

Apologies. I assumed those participating would be au fait with the puzzle. However I have now worked out 20 d, leaving only 27 a.
Black coat on the counter, top edge a kind of blue.
Hope that's enough information.

Very many on here would like to help but do not have the puzzle.

Letter count?

The letter count, together with any placed, would be helpful.

def. is blue
word for coat (reversed) followed by b(black) then word for edge

Once again apologies if I have inadvertently flouted some convention. I have to sat that I cannot see a way to post a new question on the original thread, only to reply to an existing post.
I have now received an explanation from someone who didn't appear to require me to reproduce the clue or provide a letter count.

I was happy to help you as I had completed the crossword earlier. If you want to add a question to the existing crossword, you can use the "reply" box or the "add post " box
