I have answers to 22A; 26,24A; and 23D, which are interlinked, but I can't parse them, so I am not sure they are right. Help, please.

23d consists of alternate letters in 24 and 26

26, 24 is an anagram of 22 & red & s

I did not want to start a flame at the beginning of the thread but we just need a little nudge sometimes. I still do not think the answer to the clue fits the definition well, but I was dim about the white part of the clue.
