24ac Brood on times I left to go to The East (6)

I have LITTER based on a straight definition of 'brood' , but can anyone parse this to make sense of the rest of the clue ? TIA

Ok , have already seen 'dry' leading to 'TT' in 13ac in this crossword , but don't see 'dry' coming from 'times' in this clue !
Can see that if T is 'time' then TT is 'times' perhaps. Thanks

Yes, you are of course quite right!
My error.... that's what comes of my talking on the phone and trying to answer you at the same time!

TT does of course mean Times (x2)
I did this crossword yesterday!
I am very sorry for the confusion!
