Thanks, everyone, for taking part. An excellent turnout of 14 setters, giving me the hard task of choosing a winner amongst 26 clues. (I think I miscounted earlier).
I thought my word choice might have proved difficult for anagrams, containing neither "a" nor "e", but I should have known you lot would surmount that problem easily. Some lovely ones from FJ (several), Nemo, Seamus and therogue, and a clever subtractive one from Ginge @9.
Several setters used "left" for "port" (Paul @5, Ginge @14, SteveA @25 and, my personal favourite, Pigale @13) while therogue @36 used "port" for "Tunis". All very cleverly done.
I liked Tatters' "somewhere like Oxford Street" and both uses of " troppo" backwards - Aristo @21 and Mattrom @29.
The clue I am choosing is the one that gave me the best "penny drop moment" , that being Ixion @28 with the deserving
Nice one, there is opt out? I'll take my chances (11)
Your prize was going to be an amusing clip I saw a few weeks ago, but it appears to have been removed from YouTube. (It would probably have offended, anyway). Instead, I hope you enjoy a music video appropriate to my word choice.
