Have 2 questions on 1st page which I have answers for but not happy with them as can't see connection with quiz title.

Have got nowhere with clues for 38 Posed with revolutionary Left and was lifted on shoulders (9)

Would appreciate help.

12, Could a keen student be a "swot", "tows" reversed?

Is the number of letters correct in 38? If it has seven letters, then SATCHEL fits: SAT for posed, CHE for revolutionary and L for Left.

7 may be MOCKS (referring to mock exams).
