Hi Pigale - yes, I used to be a regular contributor to the site some while back. Even won a few - I believe that Shooty picked me as his winner when he set the word to be clued in the competition.

As I said - it's just for a bit of fun. You have many clues to consider already and there are some really good ones there that I'm sure you will have a tussle with. Good luck. :)

Hi Redundantelf - As you say, there are so many good clues in this
week's effort that one more will not make my job any the hardest!
I have kept up with entries as they came and have a pretty fair
idea of the outcome (so far) - and I will count your clue as an entry!

It is nice that you should come back to the competition!

A great turn out this week, and many, many very good clues!

I make it 28 clues from 15 entrants, not counting Jigjag's and
Shooty's excellent efforts.

My present shortlist is rather long (!), and I would ask for your patience
while I make the final decision.

Well, 'it ain't easy' !
I wish I could have had all your clues in my shortlist! Very difficult
to eliminate some even though they are great entries;

I have finally come up with a short(ish) list with Bobsmum @2,
Chrise @4, Seamus @12 (among others!), Geevo @14, Stevea @18,
Fieryjack @20, Tatters @21, Dorrien @33, Mattrom @37 and
Redundantelf @48

and then we have in N° 3 Ixion @38, N°2 Therogue @43
and just, but just ahead of Therogue is N°1 Paul @44 with

'No panties or pants for affairs'
(Rather difficult to have an affair with one's clothes on!)
