When setting a phase, are we constricted to a maximum of 15 letters?

Any thoughts?

No limit as far as I am concerned but words like

hexamethylenetetramine

are a bit of a turn-off. Makes the judging easier if there is only one entry though!

Yes, personally I tend to be put off with very long, complicated
words/phrases - but that's just me!

Good afternoon bobs mum, pigale and tatters!

l don't think there's a limit on the number of letters for your choice of word, longer phrases might make things more interesting!
I'm working through a book of Bunthorne puzzles at the mo and here's one that came up recently...

Cry from the 15, "Bosom OK, is m' behind guilty?" (4,2,3,4,3,2,4)

The answer to 15 was Changing Rooms
(Hint- it's an anagram!)
:)

I prefer shorter words to clue. It limits the number of anagrams, is easier to hide them and to write acronyms which I attempt occasionally.
It also helps if I know what the word means!
