Maybe it's Rise, growth, sounds like Ryes, cereals?

I've just realised, maybe it's Rye's, of rye, (of cereal, in the clue)rather than the plural. I think we'd have needed Cereals, plural, to get Ryes, plural.

The plural of rye can be 'rye' as others have said or 'ryes' if referring to different types.

Is 3d 'hola'? If so why?

Ratslice, yes, I was fine with Ryes as a plural - but I didn't really like it with the singular 'cereal' in the clue.

Re 'Hola', it's always better to give the clue - we don't all have a copy of the paper!
