All clues filled in, but I can't say I know why many of them are right. I hadn't spotted the clever explanation for 11ac either, so thanks for that.

I know some solvers don't like Paul but he is always interesting and can be very funny. When I got the solution to 17ac 'Reason Trump needs bottom wiped, incompetent US politician.' (7) I ROFl.......

Could some kind soul explain 4d please. Clue reads, "Most dangerous horse finally caught by girl in Kentucky Derby perhaps?"
Okay I can see the answer could describe Samson after Delilah had a go at him but the logic..? It escapes me. Thanks in anticipation. Dandyetc
